Complete an entry form and choose a funny name for your team. Give to Marolyn Reiten or drop off at named locations on form ASAP! Sunday, October 23rd - $15.00/person or $60.00/car (with 4 people max.) Two people can be a team at $60.00, Singles will be matched with other teams.
Details @ www.rotaryclubofsidney.org/ BBQ dinner and social reward at the end. (address to be found at the end of the hunt, or in your emergency package) Funds raised go to school children in Kakuma, Africa project.
Arrive before NOON. Pay admittance fee on 23rd (cash or cheque).
Start in Mary Winspear parking lot. Bring your friends/family and a sense of humour! Each car will drive up to a start line, be handed an instruction package and timed for the minute they leave. Driver must be responsible driver, the other three work out where you are going.
Shortly after pulling out, open the package and read; you will have clues to find items or locations; money to purchase anything required; emergency instructions if you get totally lost. Clues might be something like: miniature portrait of the Queen – find a postage stamp. Get a password from a retail merchant/gas station or mail box.
Purchase an item or chocolate bar based on hints. No strenuous physical activity required! Weather should not be an issue.
This Rally requires a digital camera/cell phone so you probably will need to photograph one or all of you at different destination sites. Complete the tasks and arrive at the final location – fastest time with accuracy wins.
Prizes, a trophy and getting to know Rotarians from other Peninsula Clubs are all reasons to participate. OR bring along friends and introduce them to Rotary.
